Premier League Snooker
The line-up for next season’s Premier League has been finalised with rising young star Judd Trump completing the seven man field.
The youngster from Bristol came through the Championship League Snooker to book his spot in the Sky Sports event and can now look forward to games against Ronnie O’Sullivan, Shaun Murphy, John Higgins, Marco Fu, Neil Robertson and Stephen Hendry.
The tournament gets underway in Penrith on September the 3rd and with a prize fund in excess of €200,000 it’s sure to be on the most competitive events on the circuit.
Barry Hearn, the man behind the Premier League format, believes the seven players involved are sure to serve up some great snooker “I think this is very exciting line-up with a diverse selection of top players competing.”
“Of course, Ronnie will always be the man to beat in this event, but I feel anyone of the others has a chance of winning this title come the end of November.”
“Some of the players have struggled with the 25 second shot clock but coping with that has always been one of O’Sullivan’s many strengths” concluded Hearn.
